Almost twenty percent of area residents are seniors (60 or older), and this number will only increase in the future. Fair Grove was one of only a few towns in Greene County without a permanent building dedicated for use by seniors.
Senior Centers help enrich seniors’ lives through socializing activities, meals, health screenings, exercise programs, trips, etc.
Fair Grove Senior Center Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to serving area seniors. As a nonprofit corporation, any donation made to the center is tax deductible.
The building itself will cost $864,000 and kitchen equipment, parking and landscaping will add up to another $250,000. Tack on architectural, administrative and engineering fees and you can see our financial needs are great. Please consider the lives of senior family members, relatives, friends, and even yourself now or in the future when making this important decision.
Donors who contribute $250 or more will be displayed in a prominent location inside the building. All donors will be recorded in a memory book.
In lieu of cash you might consider donating land or stocks to avoid capital gains. Individuals without relatives could donate a portion of their estate including proceeds of an IRA.
Bank of Bolivar is running a promotion this in November and December to enroll new accounts. Click here to see how you can help us at no cost to yourself.
You can mail your donation by printing and mailing this Donor Form with your check. Thank you for your donation.
